Twitter is going after some of the services that allow users to spam the service, and The Next Web has a profile on each of them up and ready. It appears that the services sound innocent enough–it appears to me that a lot of their functionality could be copied with something like TweetDeck, were it active–but are actually widely used by spammers. Twitter’s lawsuit may not discourage spam completely, but it’s a step in the right direction, where someone can tweet about anything without being offered a free iPad.
