Do you know what problems we don’t have at PandoDaily? We don’t have a union, and we don’t have a writer’s guild. Which is great for the company, because then we don’t end up like The New York Times. According to a report on Politico, the Times is now being faced with accepting that reporters are only required to work 35 hours per week, meaning that they have 7 hour work days. This is ridiculous for a company that is attempting a digital news room, as it is taking an old world concept of work days and applying it to something that doesn’t sleep: the Internet news cycle. Good luck!
