During a conference in Frankfurt, Mike Nefkens of Hewlett-Packard spilled the beans on what the U.S. Navy is up against when it comes to cyber attacks. “For the US Navy we provide the network for 800,000 men and woman in 2,000 locations around the world, protecting them against 110,000 cyber attacks every hour,” Hefkens, who oversees enterprise services, told V3, a U.K. publication. H.P. has knowledge of this information as it oversees the Navy Marine Corps Intranet and it assisted the government agency when it switched over to a Next Generation Enterprise Network. [Source: V3]
