File this one under “Completely, totally awesome”: Wired has run a feature on the future of vending machines that would print 3D items on demand. A person will be able to approach the vending machine, give the vending machine the data on whatever they want to build, and watch as it’s printed out. The only way it could be more convenient is if it could interpret speech and print out whatever the buyer says. (Though, there may be a few issues there…)
