Waze, the popular traffic and navigation app promoted by Apple as a compliment to its proprietary iOS maps product, has rolled out a location based ads product. Waze Ads targets local businesses and big brands hoping to attract nearby drivers. The startup has more than 30 million active users that spend an average of 440 minutes per month using the app. Initial advertising partners include Dunkin’ Donuts, Kum & Go, Wyndham Hotels, Jamba Juice, Whole Foods, and P&G.
