Newcastle’s Hotel Indigo is jumping firmly into the future with bedside Kindle e-readers replacing bibles and other religious texts. Each of the hotel’s 48 rooms has an e-reader pre-loaded with the bible. Guests can download any other religious text for free if the cost is under $7.50. Other reading material can also be downloaded but must be paid for. Assuming the experiment works out, the hotelier plans to extend this program to the remainder of its 44 hotels worldwide.
