As of today, Yammer has a new competitor. Unison has launched a “room”-based group collaboration tool that organizes discussions according to specific topics, projects, or teams. The idea is that by seeing which “rooms” your colleagues are in, you’ll know what they’re working on. The company was started by Manlio Carrelli and Rurik Bradbury, formerly of Intermedia, with the goal of improving intra-company interaction. The tool allows for real-time comments, document sharing, voice notes, and private messages. [Source: The Next Web]
