In a bid to make the carrier more welcoming to international travelers, Verizon announced today a change to its data plans while customers are roaming on foreign networks. The new plan will provide customers with 100 megabytes of data for $25, which is exorbitant by domestic standards, but could be a cheap alternative compared to other carriers’ roaming charges. Of course, if phones came unlocked and travelers could switch carriers at will, that would be even cheaper still.
