Verizon Wireless decided to go easy on the beleaguered RIM, opting to allow the Blackberry maker to sell a non-4G smartphone, while all others are prohibited. Verizon is due to begin selling the 3G BlackBerry Curve 9310 this Friday. This was a necessary compromise given that RIM hasn’t created an LTE device yet, despite the popularity and wide availability of the technology for more than a year.
