Verizon is getting ready to roll out its “Six Strikes” anti-piracy policy across its wired-broadband networks. The ISP’s clients will be warned when their illegal downloads are being monitored and will have to watch an educational video about the dangers of piracy before their speeds are reduced to 256kbps (aka, slower than 3G mobile broadband). Verizon’s is the first of the major ISPs to unveil their policies on the matter. [Source: TorrentFreak]
