Wall Street analysts are trying to figure out exactly what Google is. As the company diversifies into mobile phones, televisions, browser, planes, trains and automobiles, no coherently profitable strategy has emerged. Investors are worried that although the company seems optimistic about the future, it has not shared its vision with anyone outside of the company, and so there is no reason to trust the optimism – except to call it blind hope.
