Jim Cramer has written why Apple didn’t need to advertise in the Super Bowl: because the advertising was free. He points out that at the end of the game, Giants team members all immediately grabbed their phones to take pictures, and all of the phones were iPhones. Because of this, Apple didn’t need to spend millions on a commercial, which is true. However, wouldn’t it have been great if Apple did a commercial simply saying, “Look at all of the people using iPhone after this game is over.”? Hindsight is 20-20, but it still would’ve been great.
