Yandex has launched their Dropbox and iCloud competitor Disk in Russia, offering users 10GB of free space to upload whatever their hearts desire. The service will also tie in with Yandex’s Mail accounts, automatically saving any attachments that are sent or received. Yandex.Disk is currently available with a strictly Russian interface, and there are “no stated plans” to expand to other languages. Looks like Yandex managed to beat Google Drive to market, without the years and years of speculation.
