Jon Mitchell at ReadWriteWeb has posted an interesting theory on the site, and it seems like it holds up some weight. The theory is that Yelp, Twitter and Apple have entered into an anti-Google alliance, with the goal of lessening the web’s dependence on Google and replacing it with a dependence on a number of services. The evidence is that Twitter and Yelp are both integrated into iOS 5, and that Apple receives preferential treatment from Twitter and Yelp. If this turns out to be true, who wants to bet that Apple tried to buy both Twitter and Yelp?
