ZTE, a Chinese electronics manufacturer and one of the largest providers of smartphones in the world, has made a startling admission: the company has installed backdoors into its smartphones. This means that users may think smartphones are secure, but ZTE has designed a method to override the security systems and to snoop on the phone if need be.  Now, people have discovered the password sealing the door, which leaves a gaping security hole in the platform. ZTE is promising to fix the situation, but no comment on if the backdoor will remain.
