After acquiring OMGPOP to add Draw Something to its list of games, Zynga has watched its stock value fall almost as quickly as Draw Something’s daily users. To turn a profit – and justify the $183M purchase – Zynga has signed a deal with DreamWorks to incorporate more advertising into the game. The gaming company is also considering using its partnership with American Express to offer rewards in Draw Something and developing other similarly themed games in a multi-pronged approach to drive (paying) users back up.
