Hey NBC: That's Not Your Artwork, It's Apple's

NBC is hard at work on a new TV show called Home Transformers. So hard at work, it seems, that they can't even find the time to make their own artwork.

NBC put up a casting call page for the show right over here, screencapped above. You can confirm that it's an actual NBC page from the linkage here. Running alongside the one paragraph description of the show is a big ol' logo, showing a hammer rested atop a stylized blueprint. It's a rather beautiful icon, really.

The problem: it's... very much not NBC's icon to use. In fact, it's one of the most famous logos in the developer world. As any iOS developer could tell you in a heartbeat, that's the icon for Apple's Xcode, which, if you're unfamiliar, is the set of tools that is used to build pretty much every iOS and OS X application ever. Pretty sure Apple didn't go and license the logo of a hugely important product to some crappy home renovation show.

It's a good thing that you guys weren't a big supporter of SOPA, because that act passing could have totally boned people for slips like this. Oh wait, yes you were.

[Thanks for pointing this out, Chad]
