Always be closing at PandoDaily: Now hiring a sales lead
As I said yesterday, we've spent roughly 10 months focused on editorial, and now we're turning part of our attention to improving our site and building our business. We've done a surprising job with revenue so far, considering Keelin Linehan is our first full-time hire on the business side, and she just started a few weeks ago.
But it's time to do more than simply pick up the phone and say, "Oh, you want to pay us? Well, okay, cool. How about this...?" (Aka, the limits of my sales ability, as a CEO who is also editor-in-chief.)
We're looking for a senior account executive who will work with Keelin to hone and implement our sales strategy and, you know, sell it. As a young, fast-growing company, there's a lot of room to grow professionally in this position and really help own the strategy. It'll be a lot of work, a lot of trial and error but also a lot of fun.
In terms of experience, we're seeking someone with a degree in advertising, marketing, or a related field, 4-6 years of experience in online ad sales with a proven record and contacts in the industry. We're also interested in candidates with an in-depth knowledge of digital media and online marketing and an understanding of our space and the competitive landscape.
