From The News Desk

We've partnered with General Assembly on an awesome new contest to whisk an entrepreneur into the heart of the Silicon Valley startup machine. You'll get airfare, ground transportation, and hotel all for free and personal tours of the tech giants: Facebook, Google, Twitter, 500 Startups, and Y Combinator. You'll get one-on-one meetings with Hunter Walk, Dave McClure, Shervin Pishevar and me. And you get to attend GA's San Francisco launch.

And if your trip coincides with a PandoMonthly, we'd love to have you as a VIP guest.

This contest is for everyone who has always complained that Silicon Valley is the land of gatekeepers. General Assembly is essentially dangling the keys to one lucky entrepreneurial hopeful.

There's already been a lot of buzz about it on Twitter so go here now to apply.

We get nothing out of this other than hopefully giving someone a great start to making their dreams come true. We hope it's the first of a few contests we can do with General Assembly, particularly since they are building or have big presences in our three core markets: New York, LA, and San Francisco and seek to solve a lot of entrepreneurial pain points from space to coding skills.

There is more about the rules on that link above. Good luck everyone! I can't wait to meet the winner!
