We all know the cliches about startup success. The whole hire slow/fire fast thing. That you have to surround yourself with people who have the strengths that you lack. That it's a marathon, not a sprint. That it's execution, not ideas that matter. And of course that the right VCs can accelerate a startup's growth.

Blah, blah, blah.

What you probably didn't know is that debt -- wild, irresponsible debt -- has launched great startup careers too. We didn't either. Oh, the things we've discovered doing some 20 PandoMonthlies...

Just because it worked out okay for Chris Sacca, Brian Chesky, and Tom Preston-Werner, we don't suggest you try this at home.
