Google finally admits its workforce is overwhelmingly white and male

On Wednesday, Google released a diversity report confirming what we all already suspected: Most of its workforce is white (61 percent) and most of its workforce is male (70 percent). The numbers for women get even worse when you look at just technology workers: A mere 17 percent of Google's tech staffers are women.

Google should be commended for its transparency, but really the solution to this problem is pretty clear:
