There is no reason whatsoever for this post to be on Pando

I could, if I tried, come up with a justification for posting this on Pando.

I could, for example, talk about my love of Top 40 country music, despite how uncomfortable the bro-focused (brocused?) lyrics of most of the current chart makes me feel as a transplanted Brit, now living in Silicon Valley...

At a time when everyone in the tech industry is so hyper-alert to the merest hint of sexism it's remarkable that the fastest growing music genre in America -- and the one which, we're told, might save radio -- is so unabashedly misogynistic. And yet, one female duo called Maddie and Tae is fighting back against the bros, with a track called "Girl in a Country Song" that... blah blah blah. Yeah, I reckon there's a solid 1000 words in that.

Really though I'm just posting this because it's 9:45 on a Monday night, I don't have a radio show any more, and it's fucking great...
