Destroying ourselves to death

With Super Tuesday underway, perhaps this would be a good time to ask the web’s news editors a serious question.

Is it possible...

….just perhaps…

...I’m just saying…

...just throwing it out there...

...playing Devil's advocate...

...that the word “destroy” doesn’t mean what you think it means...?

And to the rest of us: Is there just a remote possibility that smugly sharing viral comedy clips or celebrity Tweets snarking at Trump isn’t having quite the seismic effect we think when it comes to changing the minds of actual voters?

Might actually voting have a more measurable effect? Or volunteering on a campaign? Or donating money to a candidate that might have a chance of defeating Trump, either in winning the nomination or defeating him in the election?

Or are we really set on this whole “destroyed” thing?
